Project Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Civil Site Manager to oversee the construction of a major water and wastewater project in Claremorris, Mayo. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in logistics, fleet management, or site coordination, preferably in utilities or civils.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and manage the construction work while promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management.
* Familiarize yourself with design documentation, project programmes, and construction methodologies for the assigned project.
* Manage and coordinate activities, ensuring all plant equipment is fit for purpose and inspected as required.
* Review third-party RAMS/SSOW and produce methodology sequencing to ensure alignment.
* Develop and maintain a proactive safety culture on-site.
* Communicate daily briefings with supervisors, employees, and contractors.
* Report on programme progress, identifying risks and opportunities to project completion.
* Provide a three-week look-ahead to clients and representatives weekly.
* Maintain quality logs for subcontractors and resolve defects in a timely manner.
* Carry out site H&S inspections/audits as needed.
* Ensure all personnel on-site have received a site-specific induction and that competencies are checked and recorded in the site training matrix.
* Manage PSCS duties and subcontractor performance on-site.
* Optimize workflows to reduce project programme duration.
Requirements:
* iOSH Safety, Health, and Environment for Construction Site Managers (SHE) certification.
* At least five years' experience in multi-discipline site-based projects (civils).
* Five years+ construction experience, preferably in trades/supervision roles.
* Experience in the water/wastewater industry is desirable.
* Knowledge of the water industry and related construction methodology, equipment, and processes (desirable).
