An Animal Care Assistants is required for our Greayabbey Vet Clinic now part of the Village Vets Family.

This is a role is working alongside and supporting our team of vets & nurses looking after the patients in the wards & also before & after surgery.

Duties:
Assist the veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse in their day to day duties.
Assist the nurse & care for patients and inpatients in our care to the standard upheld by Village Vets.
Undertake general cleaning duties throughout the clinic including equipment, animal quarters to a level acceptable to the Village Vets standards.
Run routine lab work under the direction of the veterinary nurse.
Assist with front of house duties & understand procedures involved in maintaining an efficient friendly reception.
Promote the Pet Health Plans and Pet Insurance to all clients to facilitate the highest level of veterinary care.
Carry out any ad hoc Veterinary or administrative duties that may arise through the normal course of the day within the clinic or as advised by head nurse/area manager.
Complete all tasks, duties and procedures efficiently and accurately.
Be responsible for creating and maintaining an outstanding client experience throughout the whole team.
This role is a full time contract based on 40 hours per week.
We do not have any out of hours service during the week or weekends.
