Job Title: Advanced Specialist Pharmacist Oncology/Haematology
Job Description:
As a highly skilled specialist pharmacist, you will lead the development of pharmaceutical care and clinical pharmacy services for inpatient wards and specialized clinical areas.
The successful candidate will ensure patient care and safety are prioritized at all times. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize clinical information systems related to oncology/haematology pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, review, and implement medication policies, protocols, and guidelines, including those related to Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
* Oversee safe and cost-effective management of medications, including formulary decisions and stock shortages.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve medication management and clinical guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate will be registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland. A minimum of 4 years post-registration hospital pharmacy experience, including clinical and line management roles, is required. Demonstrated expertise in clinical pharmacy, ideally with experience in oncology/haematology, is essential.
