About the RoleWe are seeking aTest Technicianto join our Test Engineering team, providing first-line technical support for automated test equipment (ATE) across production operations. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring reliable equipment performance, quick fault resolution, and continuous improvement within a high-quality manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide on-the-floor technical support to production teams.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic faults on ATE systems.Maintain and service all test equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime.Assist with the installation, setup, and commissioning of new test systems.Support the calibration of test and measurement equipment as required.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and proactively address recurring issues.Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in all tasks.About YouQualification or demonstrable experience in electronics and/or electrical systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.Skilled in the use of hand and power tools; workshop machining experience is an advantage.Comfortable performing light manual tasks when required.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.Excellent communication and teamworking abilities.Computer literate with a good understanding of technical documentation and reporting.Positive, proactive, and quality-focused attitude.For a confidential conversation about the role contact Owen Clancy at By applying to this job post you agree that Sterling Engineering may process your personal data for recruitment purpose.
