Job Summary:
Project Coral represents a significant ICT transformation programme within Beaumont Hospital, introducing the Orbis Order Comms solution, IPM, and Orbis ED systems to streamline patient flow, clinical documentation, and operational management. Phase 1 of the programme has successfully established foundational systems, and Phases 2 and 3 aim to expand the digital footprint, optimise workflows, integrate additional modules, and further embed hospital-wide digital transformation initiatives.
The Project Manager – Digital Transformation will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and delivering Phases 2 and 3 of Project Coral, as well as other complementary digital projects across Beaumont Hospital. The post holder will provide oversight and coordination to align these projects with hospital strategic objectives, optimise workflows, and embed sustainable, data-driven practices across clinical and operational areas.
Job Purpose
To manage the planning, execution, and delivery of Phase 2 and Phase 3 of Project Coral, alongside other digital transformation initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives. The Project Manager will:
* Oversee project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting.
* Coordinate across multiple stakeholders including clinical, operational, management, and technical teams.
* Ensure adherence to project governance, quality standards, and change management frameworks.
* Support the measurement and reporting of project outcomes and benefits realisation.

Responsibilities
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution
* Oversee ICT projects working with other project managers and delivery leads
* Develop comprehensive project plans for Phases 2 and 3 of Project Coral, including scope, objectives, timelines, and milestones.
* Allocate resources efficiently, coordinating staff across clinical, operational, and technical areas.
* Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with hospital strategic objectives.
2. Stakeholder Management and Engagement
* Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clinical staff, operational teams, management, and external vendors.
* Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and steering group reports.
* Ensure hospital-wide staff are engaged and informed about project progress and digital transformation initiatives.
3. Risk and Issue Management
* Identify project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and escalation procedures where necessary.
* Monitor progress and resolve blockers to maintain project momentum.
* Ensure adherence to project governance and quality standards.
4. Change Management and Adoption
* Collaborate with the Clinical Lead and Transformation Lead to embed change management principles across project phases.
* Support staff training, engagement, and adoption of new digital systems.
* Promote best practice in the use of digital solutions and workflow optimisation.
5. Monitoring, Reporting, and Benefits Realisation
* Track project performance against objectives and key performance indicators.
* Prepare regular reports and dashboards for senior leadership, using Power BI and other reporting tools.
* Support evaluation of project outcomes, including improvements in patient care, operational efficiency, and hospital-wide digital capabilities.
6. Continuous Improvement
* Capture lessons learned from project phases to inform future hospital-wide digital initiatives.
* Recommend enhancements to processes, governance, and technology adoption strategies.
* Support alignment of Project Coral phases with Beaumont Hospital's long-term digital strategy.

Qualifications and Experience
* Degree or postgraduate qualification in project management, health informatics, business transformation, or related discipline.
* Significant experience managing large-scale digital transformation or ICT projects in healthcare or complex organisations.
* Knowledge of clinical information systems (Orbis, IPM, Orbis ED) and operational systems (HR, Finance) advantageous.
* Proven track record in planning, executing, and delivering multi-phase projects.
* Experience in stakeholder management, change management, and risk management.
