My client, a well-established professional services firm, is currently seeking a Finalist/Recently Qualified Accountant to join their busy team based in Navan, Co.
Meath.
Position Overview As a Finalist or Recently Qualified Accountant, you will join a highly experienced team supporting a broad range of SME and corporate clients.
You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns, while also assisting in audit and advisory assignments as required.
The role provides exposure to both audit and non-audit work, making it ideal for an ambitious professional seeking to grow their technical skills and progress toward a more senior accounting or management position within practice.
This is a full-time, office-based position offering core working hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and a starting salary of €35,000 per year, which is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role.
I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly Requirements Part-qualified or recently qualified ACCA / ACA, or qualified Accounting Technician Minimum 2 years experience working in an accounting practice (essential) Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance Audit experience desirable but not essential Proficient in accounting and tax software such as Bright Accounts Production, Bright Books, DEXT, Xero, or HubDoc Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and Word Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines Responsibilities Prepare accounts for audit-exempt companies, partnerships, and sole traders Review and assist with work prepared by junior staff where required Prepare and file VAT, PAYE, CT, and RCT returns Support audit assignments and prepare documentation using My Working Papers Prepare management accounts and assist clients with financial analysis Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide support Assist in the training and development of junior staff Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and participate in CPD training Identify opportunities for process improvements or value-added services for clients Benefits Competitive salary starting from €35,000 per year, negotiable DOE MondayFriday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule (no weekends) Long-term, stable position with genuine career progression opportunities Supportive and collaborative working environment Ongoing CPD and professional development support Exposure to a wide variety of clients and industries If you feel like you fit the above requirements and are currently seeking an exciting new challenge, please forward your CV for immediate consideration and confidential call back to discuss the role in more detail.
