Role Overview
The Electrical Design Engineer develops and delivers electrical designs to enable manufacturing of complex automated equipment, manages design documents, sources components, and supports testing and debug activities.
Duties
Develop electrical designs for complex automation projects
Create detailed electrical schematics for build
Source electrical components for designs
Develop test plans and documentation packs for completed electrical designs
Assist in electrical debugging of systems
Coordinate with customers and suppliers
Meet project delivery deadlines
Requirements
Electrical/Electronic engineering degree, ideally with manufacturing focus
Minimum 3 years of industry experience in electrical design, industrial wiring and debugging of manufacturing equipment
Knowledge of m/c elements (electrical controls, AC/DC motors, servo motors, inverters, panel equipment, drives, pneumatics)
Proficiency with EPLAN, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
Basic understanding of PLC programming and control methodologies
Self‑motivated, team‑player, and able to deliver on time
Legally able to work in Ireland
Willingness to live near Sligo; role is office‑based
Current driving licence and ability to travel as required
