Job Description
A key role exists in maintaining high safety standards and promoting a strong safety culture on-site.
* Support project teams in ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
* Drive proactive risk management and continuous safety improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement site-specific health and safety plans, procedures, and risk assessments.
* Conduct regular inspections, audits, and safety walkdowns to ensure site compliance.
* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring corrective actions are properly followed up.
* Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions to staff and subcontractors.
* Promote behavioural safety and embed a culture of proactive health and safety management.
Requirements:
* 2+ years experience as a Health and Safety Officer or equivalent in construction or civil engineering.
* Relevant Health and Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH).
* Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and best practices.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in MS Office and construction-related digital tools.
