Location: County Kilkenny Salary: (depending on experience) Introduction: Our client, a luxurious 4-star, resort is looking for a talented Pastry Chef to join its culinary team.
In this role, the Pastry Chef will create high-quality pastry, bakery, and dessert items for the hotels restaurants, special events, and banqueting functions.
Responsibilities: Manage pastry prep, baking cycles, and daily production to meet demand.
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP) in the pastry section.
Control ingredient costs, reduce waste, and order supplies for the pastry kitchen.
Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team on menu development, especially for special events and banquets.
Train and develop junior staff.
Requirements: Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a hotel, patisserie, or high-volume kitchen Strong technical knowledge.
Excellent organisation and time management skills to coordinate production flow Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for pastry arts.
Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.
