Financial Professional
This position entails overseeing a portfolio of 20+ large businesses in Galway, preparing financial statements, income tax, and compliance. Responsibilities include liaising with clients, conducting audits, preparing financial reports, and making manual payroll adjustments.
* Portfolio Management:
o Liaise with several clients to manage workflow and coordinate tasks.
o Contact and schedule projects with clients.
o Clients include hotels, charities, construction, schools, retail, and professional services.
* Audit:
o Conduct audits on SME cases, including planning, materiality, field work, and final reporting.
o Liaise with clients' bookkeepers to coach them and assist with journals/adjustments.
o Provide recommendations for improvement in accounting processes.
* Financial Reporting:
o Prepare sets of financial reports from clients' records, including supporting files and schedules.
o Adjust clients' records and provide recommendations for changes.
* Taxation:
o Prepare corporation tax computations and returns for filing.
o Understand tax addbacks and close company surcharges.
* Payroll:
o Make manual payroll adjustments as required.
* Financial Statements:
o Be comfortable with disclosures for FRS financial statements using Sage.
* CRO:
o Be familiar with CORE and routine CRO filings.
Requirements:
* Fully or Part Qualified Accountant with Audit experience.
* Small Practice trained (desired but not essential).
* Strong MS Suite skills (essential).
* Comfortable using various client software booking keeping systems (TAS, Xero, Quickbooks, and Sage).
* Excellent prioritisation skills to understand various client deadlines.
