STS Technical Services is hiring experienced A&P Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics in Waterford, Michigan. Position Summary:
As an A&P Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll play a hands-on role in the day-to-day maintenance operations for a premier aviation services provider. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that values precision, safety, and technical excellence. We’re looking for detail-oriented professionals ready to make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbine-powered aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards
* Inspect, troubleshoot, test, and repair aircraft airframes and engines
* Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and blueprints to diagnose and repair discrepancies
* Use precision instruments to assess wear and execute component replacements as needed
* Document all work performed using approved maintenance records and procedures
* Collaborate with OEMs, pilots, inspectors, and fellow technicians to maintain aircraft compliance
* Support flexible work shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required
* Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
* FAA Airframe & Powerplant License (required)
* Minimum of 1–2 years of recent A&P experience; turbine-powered aircraft strongly preferred
* Experience working in an FAA-certified Part 145 repair station (required)
* Familiarity with Part 135 operations (preferred)
* Inspection Authorization (IA) and/or FCC License are a plus
* Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
* Ability to work independently while ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Customer-focused attitude and a commitment to service excellence
