The Team & The Role
Wayfair's Global Financial Operations team is seeking a specialist to join our Global Financial Operations team The Global Finance Operations team is responsible for all Partner/Vendor/Employee Invoice and Billing processing, Cash application, and Global Payments, as well as direct customer service for our Partners, Vendors, Customers and Employees.
What You'll Do
* E2E Payment Process Ownership
* Preparation and processing of all FinOps Payments - Generation of the payment schedules and payment proposals and conducting payment audits ahead of approvals
* Follow up on items not included in payment proposals with internal teams
* Preparation and Processing of all emergency/off cycle payments
* Review of payment errors/rejections for re payment
* Partner with core data management on payment corrections for rejected payments
* Payment Audit [Pre Approval]
* Define the payment audit and SOX Controls in conjunction with Internal audit
* Reprocessing bank statements (Supplier, Corp AP & Freight)
* Manage all payment related queries
* Credit card/Direct debits in reprocess bank statements
* Training/overview for approvers on audits - Future State
* Payment Templates [SAP/Banking Portals]
* Bank Sanction Checks
* User access set up and ongoing review - Future State
* Prepare and submit cash forecast in close partnership with Treasury
* Supplier Netting Payment Processing - Future State
* Payment Term review/reporting - Future State
* Regular Review of STP (Straight Through Process) % rate and measures to improve the KPI - Future State
* Support/Assist with internal/external audits and SOX compliance
What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Operations, or other related subject
* 1 - 3 years of equivalent experience
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
* Strong organization and planning skills (Project Management)
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
* Managing, training and motivating team members
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Flexible and able to handle ad hoc issues that may arise, including quick prioritization decisions
* Previous SQL or GBQ experience preferred
* Fluent English both written and verbal
