Product Development Engineer Opportunity
This role is focused on the development of innovative medical devices. The Product Development Engineer will play a key part in this process, supporting planning and execution, preparing and reviewing documentation, collaborating with suppliers, working with functional teams to create detailed designs, and ensuring products meet their lifecycle goals.
1. Collaborate with project teams to develop device concepts that meet performance criteria.
2. Create prototypes, analyze results, and identify optimal solutions to technical challenges.
3. Use CAD software to create detailed component and assembly drawings/specifications.
4. Develop and apply knowledge of materials, define assembly methods, and set process parameters.
5. Work closely with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to ensure seamless integration of components and systems.
6. Coordinate with external vendors and resources to achieve project objectives.
7. Document design iterations, test results, and project progress effectively.
8. Research and understand end-user needs to support product training material development.
9. Conduct research on emerging technologies, materials, and methodologies relevant to product development goals.
10. Apply engineering principles and simulation tools to design and optimize product components and systems.
11. Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions effectively to team members and management.
12. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in product development.
