**Job Title:** Quantity Surveyor
* The role of a quantity surveyor is to provide commercial and contractual advice to ensure the project runs smoothly.
* The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of contractual matters, including general and project-level issues.
* A key aspect of this job is identifying contract grounds for claims and advising on commercial and QS support.
* The ideal candidate will be able to look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce costs, while also assisting with project cash management.
* Another important responsibility is negotiating and agreeing subcontractors and suppliers.
* The quantity surveyor will need to ensure that final accounts are closed in a timely manner and investigate any losses.
* Other key duties include drafting commercial/contractual correspondence, negotiating prices and terms with subcontractors and suppliers, and preparing and reviewing monthly cost reports.
* The successful candidate will also need to review and update risk registers, variation trackers and extension of time tracker sheets monthly and include them within monthly reports.
* Finally, they will need to negotiate subcontractors and suppliers' final accounts.
Requirements:
* Commercial Manager experience
* Strong knowledge of contractual matters
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Proficient in MS Office and other software relevant to the industry
