My client, a leading food business, is seeking a Technical Manager to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role where you'll lead initiatives to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and food safety excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement, maintain, and monitor food safety and quality systems, including HACCP, BRC standards, SOPs, and audits.
* Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
* Investigate and resolve quality and safety issues efficiently, preventing potential risks.
* Lead, train, and mentor team members to promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain strong customer and regulatory relationships.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
* Proven experience in food quality management, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
* In-depth knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food safety legislation.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to perform under pressure.
* Experience with quality management systems/software is a plus.
