Sr. Technical Program Manager, AWS Manufacturing
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers with servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual access for our customers. We tackle challenging problems involving supply chain variables, and we seek talented individuals to join us.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and others. Your role involves collaborating across AWS to uphold safety and security standards while providing extensive capacity at minimal cost. Role Responsibilities
- Lead planning and implementation of contract manufacturing (CM) integration and scaling efforts.
- Focus on manufacturing capacity planning, including layout, line, test infrastructure, and labor models, considering variability, yield, utilization, and cycle-time.
- Drive cross-infrastructure projects related to cycle-time reduction and fulfillment network optimization, contributing to cost, emission, and service level improvements.
- Partner with hardware engineering, operations, planning, design, and contract manufacturers.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Model capacity for lines, testing, and labor for existing and new products, considering various variables.
2. Propose line modeling strategies based on product complexity, volume, and form factors.
3. Collaborate with NPI and Operations teams to monitor and revise capacity models to meet demand.
4. Engage in continuous improvement projects to enhance cycle time, cost, and quality.
5. Participate in cross-functional projects to improve end-to-end fulfillment processes.
6. Develop business metrics, analyze gaps, and recommend corrective actions.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
- Experience managing cross-functional programs, processes, and release schedules.
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
- Experience defining KPIs/SLA's for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to leadership.
