Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Radiography Specialist to lead and manage our General X-Ray Department. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiographic services, supervising and teaching junior staff, and promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned radiographer to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our department. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, including staff supervision, patient care, and equipment maintenance. You will also be involved in quality assurance, safety protocols, and professional development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the General X-Ray Department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations
- Supervise and teach junior radiographers, assisting them in their professional development
- Develop and implement quality assurance and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with other departments to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, applying new knowledge and skills to enhance patient care and departmental performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiography or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 6 years of full-time post-qualification clinical experience in a specialist modality
- Registration with the Radiographer's Division by CORU
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to make sound judgments and decisions
