Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Banquet Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The Banquet Assistant will provide support to the banquet team by setting up event spaces, ensuring smooth food and beverage service, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.
This role involves working closely with the banquet supervisor/manager to maintain excellent communication and teamwork skills. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing event spaces according to client specifications, setting up furniture, and ensuring linens, cutlery, and glassware are clean and correctly arranged.
The Banquet Assistant will also provide polite and professional food and beverage service throughout events, serving meals, snacks, canapés, and drinks according to the event schedule.
Key Requirements
* Previous experience in banqueting, hospitality, or food service (preferred)
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks during busy events
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to stand and move for long periods and lift moderately heavy items
