Based in their Co Donegal Head Office, they have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will play a key role within the team in delivering quality and value for money projects to our client.

Senior Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities: Create, manage, and meticulously track subcontractor packages to ensure all project requirements are met efficiently and on schedule.
Oversee the procurement of material packages, ensuring that they are of the highest quality and delivered on time to maintain project momentum.
Formulate and enforce detailed contracts with subcontractors to establish clear expectations, timelines, and deliverables, fostering strong working relationships.
* Utilise Cubit or similar software to accurately quantify and take off materials, ensuring that all project needs are precisely assessed and documented.
Actively seek out and evaluate alternative products that offer better value or efficiency, contributing to cost-effective project delivery.
Prepare and rigorously check valuations to ensure all financial aspects of projects are accounted for accurately and transparently.
Develop comprehensive subcontractor packages, including detailed pricing to facilitate informed decision-making.
Leverage negotiation expertise to secure the most competitive prices from suppliers and subcontractors, maximising value for the company.
Cash Flow and Budgeting:
effective financial planning and resource allocation for ongoing projects.
Engage in tendering and estimating processes, contributing valuable insights and expertise to secure new project contracts.
Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 7 years of experience working in a contracting environment, demonstrating a robust understanding of the construction process.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project, with the ability to effectively manage timelines and documentation.
Proficient Cubit software, enabling efficient project management and material tracking.
