As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Health and Safety Manager in ensuring site personnel comply with site safety and company requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Provide general support and assistance to the Health and Safety Manager
* Ensure site personnel adhere to site safety protocols and company policies
* Implement and maintain a robust Safety Management System
* Conduct thorough site inspections/audits and report findings to the project EHS Manager
* Identify training needs, recommend requirements to the project EHS Manager
* Deliver comprehensive Health and Safety Inductions, weekly Toolbox Talks
* Organise and chair regular Safety Meetings
* Review subcontractors' Method Statements/Risk Assessments and assist where necessary
* Assist with accident/incident investigation reports
* Submit regular progress reports
* Carry out daily site walks, report findings to project supervisors immediately
* Advise and assist site teams in drafting Safe Plans of Action
Requirements:
* Relevant 3rd Level EHS qualification essential
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role is required
* Experience working in the Construction Sector beneficial
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well in a team environment
