Our client is seeking to appoint an Online Public Relations officer (account executive level) to support the growing online division.
The candidate would work closely within the Social Media Marketing Team, alongside the PR experts.
Together, they have been responsible for managing many well known Irish brands reputation online.
The successful candidate will be passionate about social media and its effect on consumer behavior, have excellent communication skills, copywriting skills and the ability to maintain and develop relationships with key influencers in online networks.
Objective of the Role
The role is unique, as the candidate will be actively involved in the management of social media and online public relations campaigns for two companies.
The candidate will report to the head of the Social Media Marketing Team and be able to work across various types of clients and industries.
The role will serve as a way to expand the growing relationship between traditional public relations and online marketing; and will help the team deliver first-in-market online activity that is regarded as best practice.
Skills
The following skills are required:
· Understanding of all digital elements and how they are connected (digital media/advertising, search engine marketing, search engine optimisation, email marketing, social media marketing, online public relations and more).
· Has an active role on the online community, by creating content as well as viewing content
· Active user of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Forums and Blogs (understanding all slang and online jargon necessary for communicating in this space).
· Excellent writing skills; changing writing styles for Social Networks, Blogs and online press releases.
· Has a passion for all things digital and a yearning to test new and upcoming digital possibilities.
· Comfortable with reporting on social media and online public relations activity to show return on investment to clients
· Understanding of key influencers (Bloggers, Twitter users, etc) within various industries and sectors
· Willing to invest time in developing relationships with influencers both on and offline
· Understands Search Engine Optimisation and its application within Social Media Campaigns.
· Has a strategic outlook in recommending activity that will best achieve goals and deliver return on investment
· Ability to multi-task
· Has intermediate level of technical skills, including how Facebook Tabs and Applications are developed (Basic HTML knowledge is strongly recommended).
· Personal qualities should include: creativity, determination, confident, works well in teams, works well under pressure, and is ambitious both personally and professionally.
Salary and Benefits
- This is a graduate/ 1 year experience role and the salary is €23k.
