The Role The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is delighted to recruit for a Senior Dietitian (0.7 WTE) with a split remit across Adult Services (0.35 WTE) and Childrens Services (0.35 WTE). The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality, evidence-based dietetic service in a range of community settings including clinics, homes, schools, day and residential services. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and flexible Dietitian to join a collaborative multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership in both paediatric and adult disability services. Key Responsibilities: Provide dietetic assessment, intervention, and review across both Adult and Childrens Services. Lead on dietetic management of service users with dysphagia, working closely with Speech & Language Therapy colleagues. Provide support and education to staff and families on enteral tube feeding and food fortification/nutrition supplementation. Deliver dietetic input for service users post-discharge from acute settings. Provide nutrition support to children with complex medical and feeding needs, including those requiring enteral tube feeding. Participate in health promotion, staff training, and development of dietetic resources. Contribute to service development, clinical audit, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and report directly to the Dietitian Manager. Essential Requirements: BSc in Human Nutrition and Diploma in Dietetics, or equivalent qualification approved by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU. Registered with the Dietitians Registration Board, CORU. Minimum of three years post-qualification dietetic experience, including experience in paediatric dietetics. Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in tube feeding and modified consistency diets. Excellent communication, initiative, and time management skills. Full, clean driving licence and access to own transport. *Candidates with qualifications obtained outside Ireland require validation by the Department of Health or CORU, as appropriate. Desirable Requirements: Previous experience working with adults or children with disabilities. PEG replacement training certification. Terms: Grade: Senior Dietitian Contract Type: Permanent Part-Time (0.7 WTE split post: 0.35 Adult / 0.35 Childrens Services) Location: Community-based services across St Michaels House sites. Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with August 2025 HSE revised consolidated pay scale, point 1 €63,912 to point 9 €75,254 based on working a 35 hour week.
