* Provide administrative support to medical consultants and clinical staff.
* Type and format medical correspondence, reports, and clinic notes accurately and efficiently.
* Manage incoming calls, emails, and enquiries, ensuring appropriate follow-up and communication.
* Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and clinic timetables.
* Maintain and update patient records, files, and databases in line with data protection regulations.
* Process referrals, test results, and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
* Liaise with other hospital departments, GP practices, and external agencies as required.
* Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
* Assist with general administrative duties including filing, photocopying, and document management.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* Previous experience as a Medical Secretary or in a hospital administrative setting.
* Proficient typing and IT skills (Microsoft Office, hospital systems).
* Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking abilities.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload under pressure.
