Job Purpose
As a
Staff Grade Occupational Therapist
, you will deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to children (0–18 years) with physical, sensory, intellectual, and learning disabilities, including autism and developmental delay.
You will work directly with children and families to support independence, participation, and everyday living, while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, and Social Workers.

Role summary:
As a team member you will provide a range of clinical supports to children 0 – 18 years.
You will provide support and expertise within your discipline.
You will be working under the direction of the Children's Disability Network Manager (CDNM) and in partnership with your discipline colleagues and as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
You will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide an integrated and coordinated service to children and their families.
You will provide consultation and support programmes for parents and families as appropriate.
You will provide reports and information to relevant others, refer to other professionals; liaise with schools and other external agencies as appropriate.
You will attend and participate in relevant meetings and case conferences.
You will work with:
Children with complex disabilities and their families
Children's Disability Network Team members
Children's Disability Network Manager
Staff across educational settings e.g. in preschools and schools, which may include being onsite in Special Schools
All other relevant agencies working to support children and families e.g. Education, Health, Social, Vocational and Community Services/Agencies
Essential Requirements
BSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification)
CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
Experience working with children/young people with complex disabilities
Experience working with children/young people with ASD
Previous experience completing Assessment of Need
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Full driving licence and access to a car
