Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. The role is quite varied so participants will get the opportunity to engage with a range of tasks and develop new skills. The following list includes – but is not limited to – the types of projects that work placement participants can expect to support:
* Online content creation for website
* Social media management – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
* Video production/photography
* Graphic design
* Event planning and promotion
* Answering phones, taking messages, responding to emails
* Assisting with funding applications
* Representing Mayo North at events and trade shows
* Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders around the region from business owners to community members, local authority, state agencies
* Assisting with accounting
Essential Qualities
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Professional and friendly manner
* Strong command of the English language
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Positive, can‑do attitude
Desirable Qualities
* Experience working with WordPress
* Experience in managing social media for a business or voluntary organisation
* Fluency in another European language (including Gaeilge)
* Video editing and/or graphic design skills
* Accounting knowledge/experience
