WaterfordEmployment Type:Full-TimeOverviewWe are seeking an experiencedIT Broadcast Technician to support, maintain, and troubleshoot both IT and broadcast systems. This role combines expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, and audio/video signal flow to ensure smooth and reliable broadcast operations, including transmission, recording, and playback of content. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills across multiple platforms and the ability to collaborate closely with production and IT teams.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain Windows file and database server s, PCs, and Microsoft Office environments.Administer Linu x and macO S systems.Oversee network administratio n, ensuring optimal performance and security.Administer the local domai n, including critical dispatch and production systems.Provide general user suppor t and resolve technical issues efficiently.Manage and monitor SLA s and liaise with external IT infrastructure providers for setups and ongoing support.Collaborate with external hardware and systems provider s for maintenance and upgrades.Maintain and modify local database s and the internal Intranet sit e.Oversee PBX/phone syste m modifications and management.Manage software licensin g and ensure compliance.Contribute to and enforce cybersecurity measure s across systems and networks.RequirementsA third-level qualificatio n in Computer Science or a related discipline.Minimum 2-3 years of experienc e in a dedicated IT support or systems administration role.Strong understanding of networking, server management, and system integratio n.Excellent communication and interpersona l skills.High attention to detail with strong analytical and technica l abilities.Strong organizational and plannin g skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload.Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholder s.Demonstrated ownership and accountabilit y in completing tasks.Customer-focuse d, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach.Keen interest in the broadcast and media industr y.Ability to work independentl y and contribute to process improvements.Commitment to continuous learning and self-developmen t.
