Our client, a leading semi state organisation, is seeking a Fuel Supply Chain Technical Engineer to join their Mechanical division.
This role will manage the technical operation, maintenance and improvement of fuel storage and distribution installations across multiple sites.
The successful candidate will bring strong fuel infrastructure experience, contractor management capability and a strong health and safety focus.
Responsibilities
Manage technical aspects of fuel storage and distribution installations across multiple depot and terminal locations
Oversee fuel farm refurbishment projects from design through procurement support and implementation
Manage planned maintenance regimes across all fuel storage locations
Engage with third party contractors to ensure works are completed to industry standards
Monitor fuel maintenance spend and report performance against budget
Manage contractor performance against agreed contractual commitments
Maintain health and safety oversight for fuel storage and distribution activities
Prepare scopes of work for inspections, preventative maintenance, refurbishment and improvement works
Ensure fuel installations remain compliant with current legislation, licences and relevant safety requirements
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in operation, maintenance, design or construction of petroleum fuel, biofuel or bulk chemical liquid facilities
Minimum 5 years' professional experience in large scale site management and commissioning projects
Significant health and safety experience on large scale projects
Strong contract and contractor management experience
Technical understanding of standards associated with the petroleum fuel industry
Engineering degree or equivalent level of engineering experience
