About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive
IT Manager
to lead our IT department in Ireland. The IT Manager will oversee IT operations, infrastructure, and projects, ensuring technology supports business goals effectively, securely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day IT operations, including networks, servers, cloud services, and user support.
* Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
* Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, software deployments, and digital transformation initiatives.
* Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
* Ensure IT security, compliance, and disaster recovery protocols are in place.
* Monitor IT performance metrics and recommend improvements to processes and systems.
* Mentor and manage IT staff, fostering skill development and teamwork.
* Collaborate with other departments to understand technology needs and deliver solutions.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
* Proven experience in IT management, IT leadership, or senior technical roles.
* Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity.
* Experience managing IT projects and teams.
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
* IT certifications such as
ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, or PMP

* Experience with hybrid IT environments (on-premise + cloud).
* Familiarity with Irish/EU compliance and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
* Experience in budgeting, vendor management, and strategic IT planning.
