Job Description
Location: The Quay, Bantry, County Cork, Ireland. We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team at the Maritime Hotel.
About The Role
This behind-the-scenes role is essential to the smooth running of our culinary operations, helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean, sanitary, and well-organized.
* Wash pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to high hygiene standards.
* Properly handle and dispose of kitchen waste and recycling.
* Support chefs with general kitchen tasks as required.
* Monitor stock of cleaning supplies and report when replenishment is needed.
* Adhere strictly to health & safety and food hygiene guidelines at all times.
Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
* Flexible, reliable, and committed to upholding cleanliness and hygiene.
* A team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
* Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks in a busy kitchen environment.
