Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor Location: Midlands Full Time / Permanent Role Optimize recruitment are proud to partner with our client, a leader in Construction and Engineering is seeking to recruit an ambitious EHS Coordinator to join their growing team What the Successful Candidate Will Have 23+ years experience in an EHS role within construction, manufacturing, engineering, or similar technical environments Strong understanding of EHS legislation, risk management, and compliance requirements Experience working across multiple active sites or projects Demonstrated ability to deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and on-site safety support Knowledge of safe systems of work, method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work processes Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and engage site personnel A proactive approach to incident prevention, investigation, and continuous improvement Relevant EHS qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent) High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team Full Driving Licence Key Responsibilities & Duties Support the implementation and ongoing development of the companys EHS management system across projects Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure safe working practices Assist in preparing, reviewing, and updating risk assessments, method statements, and safety documentation Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to project personnel and subcontractors Support incident/near-miss reporting, investigation, and corrective-action processes Ensure appropriate PPE, emergency procedures, and safe-work protocols are maintained on all project sites Monitor environmental controls and ensure adherence to sustainability and waste-management requirements Participate in client meetings, safety forums, and project planning sessions to represent EHS interests Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and engineering teams to promote a positive safety culture Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, and reporting logs in line with company and regulatory requirements Additional Opportunities in the EHS Space Include: Health and Safety Consultant - €45,000 - €55,000 (Naas / Bray / Navan / Newbridge EHS Advisor - €48,000 - €57,0000 - Kilkenny Senior EHS Advisor - €70,000 - €85,000 - Dublin All applications will be dealt with in the strictest confidence and your CV will never be released without your prior approval.
