We are seeking a skilled Financial Assistant to manage our financial records at our expanding organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial accounts using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks).
Process invoices and payments efficiently.
Perform bank reconciliations and oversee petty cash.
Prepare and submit tax returns.
Support with VAT returns and compliance.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries.
Manage contractor payments and ensure precise record keeping.
Support payroll processing (liaising with external provider if applicable).
Assist accountants/auditors with year-end preparation.
Generate periodic financial reports for management review.
Requirements
* 3+ years experience in a similar finance role.
* A relevant accounting qualification is advantageous.
* Precise knowledge of tax returns and Revenue Online System (ROS) is preferred.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
