Senior Chemist – Medical Device Manufacturing

has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Chemist with a medical device manufacturing background to join our Galway-based client.
Responsibilities
Perform analytical testing on drugs and drug combination products with Liquid/Gas Chromatography, Elution, Spectroscopic and Wet Chemistry techniques.
Develop and validate analytical test methods.
Conduct laboratory investigations ensuring timely disposition/closure.
Accurately report and interpret results, trend data, investigate findings and produce technical reports.
Collaborate with on-site departments (Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Engineering) to ensure efficient and robust processes.
Provide technical support for instrumentation and analytical methodology and execute troubleshooting.
Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce testing lead times and cost.
Plan and schedule activities independently to meet project timelines.
Support training of new colleagues.
Support internal and external audit programs.
Assist with regulatory submissions.
Requirements
Level 8 degree in a science or engineering related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
