Job title: Scheduling & Logistics Coordinator.
Location: Fermoy, Co.
Cork (office-based move to hybrid on completion of training).
Contract: Full-time, permanent.
The opportunity
The Scheduling & Logistics Coordinator will ensure the efficient processing, scheduling and monitoring of customer orders and deliveries, while maintaining excellent communication and documentation throughout the logistics process.
This role suits someone highly organised, customer-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced operations environment.
Key responsibilities:
Receive and review customer orders, determine resource requirements and schedule jobs accordingly.
Accurately upload and manage jobs in the Transport Management System (TMS).
Liaise with customers to obtain and upload all required documentation and job-specific requirements, recording all relevant site details.
Keep customers updated on order progress, delays or issues and escalate concerns to the Administration Manager as required.
Monitor incoming shipments using the Port Tracking System and reschedule deliveries where necessary.
Track delivery progress on the day, report any issues, and ensure delivery paperwork and PODs are checked and issued to customers by the next working day.
Record additional costs in the TMS for invoicing and support weekly/monthly reporting for the Operations Director.
Support safety, quality and continuous improvement by reporting risks, near misses and improvement opportunities.
Skills and experience:
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Confident communicator with a focus on delivering high standards of customer service.
Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS) and tracking tools, or similar logistics/operations systems.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Awareness of health, safety and quality standards in an operations or logistics environment.
