Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Finance is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting office. This role requires exceptional financial analysis and reporting skills, as well as strong budgeting and forecasting abilities.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead a finance team of 4 members, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
* Oversee income audit functions, ensuring accurate revenue recording, verification, and reporting.
* Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely supplier payments and monthly reconciliations.
* Monitor compliance with purchase order systems.
* Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for weekly and monthly cycles.
* Manage labour management systems, producing weekly reports comparing actual performance against forecasts.
* Oversee owner and membership functions, ensuring accurate billing, reconciliations, and stakeholder communication.
* Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and prompt collection.
* Prepare detailed management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
* Prepare accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations within tight deadlines.
* Produce weekly cash flow projections and monitor liquidity requirements.
* Manage day-to-day banking operations, including reconciliations.
* Ensure effective cash control processes throughout the resort.
* Prepare VAT documents.
* Assist in year-end account preparation.
* Support annual budget development.
* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or finalist status.
* Team leading/supervisory experience desirable.
* Previous hospitality experience beneficial.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
* Proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
