Day Surgery Unit Leader
The clinical nurse manager plays a pivotal role in the point of care team, leading the management of the day surgery unit with exceptional leadership and expertise.
* Collaborate closely with other staff to ensure high-quality patient care, adhering to evidence-based best practices.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a culture of professional development and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Co-ordinate the assessment, planning, delivery, and review of patient care by all nursing staff in designated areas.
* Administer safe and comprehensive nursing care to patients within established guidelines and protocols.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless treatment and care.
Essential Qualifications
* Registration or eligibility for registration on the General Division of the Register of Nurses is required.
* A minimum of three years' experience as a staff nurse in an acute hospital setting is essential.
