Delivery Driver
Safely drive a rigid HGV on assigned delivery routes to deliver frozen, chilled, and ambient goods to customers across various sectors. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and strong customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a rigid HGV on assigned routes
* Deliver frozen, chilled, and ambient goods to customers
* Carry out vehicle checks and operate fridge units and tail lifts
* Handle delivery dockets, process cash payments, and complete paperwork
* Use handheld devices to manage deliveries, capture signatures, and enhance delivery accuracy
* Making collections from suppliers when required
* Providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with customers
* Liaising with the Transport Office, Telesales, and Sales Representatives
Requirements:
* Valid HGV Cat C/C+E license (must be carried at all times)
* Valid Digi Card and adequate printer roll supply
* Valid CPC Card
* Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
* Knowledge of drivers hours and tachograph legislation
* Confidence in using handheld technology for deliveries
* Comfortable with manual handling
* Professional, reliable, and trustworthy with a strong work ethic
* Fluent in written and spoken English
