Preparation:
Helping prepare tools, materials, and equipment needed for installation.
Transporting curtains, poles, tracks, and fittings to the client's location.
Delivering and assembly of furniture.
Installation Support:
Assisting the lead fitter in mounting curtain rails, tracks, or poles.
Helping hang curtains and blinds.
Ensuring they are correctly aligned and functional.
Securing fixings and adjusting fittings as required under supervision.
Problem-Solving:
Addressing minor fitting challenges, such as uneven surfaces or awkward window shapes, under the direction of the lead fitter.
Ensuring all installations meet quality standards and client specifications.
Customer Interaction:
Polite manner and discretion in clients homes.
Ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy to leave a positive impression.
Post-Installation:
Cleaning up the workspace and removing any debris or packaging.
Ensuring tools and materials are packed away properly.
Conducting a final check with the lead fitter to ensure everything is secure and functioning.
General Maintenance:
Keeping tools and equipment in good working condition.
Reporting any damaged or faulty items to the lead fitter or supervisor.
This role requires good physical fitness, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn from the lead fitter.
Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor are also important.
