We are looking for an organised, detail-focused and customer-friendly team member to support both our Accounts department and our Meetings & Events Sales team.
This varied hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys administration, working with people, and keeping processes running smoothly in a busy hotel environment.
The successful candidate will split their time between finance support duties and coordinating enquiries and administration for meetings, conferences and events.

Your Job
Accounts Assistant Duties
Ensure that all sales are accurately recorded and establish a robust system to identify issues.
Prepare a daily sales KPI report for distribution to individual departments and track sales using various hotel computer information systems.
Manage the cash and banking functions of the hotel by maintaining the daily income audit, monitoring cash-handling procedures throughout the property, and providing training as needed.
Oversee petty cash management and ensured appropriate cash levels were maintained in the hotel.
Support banking administration where required.
Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Accounts Receivable: Ensure that the processes for recording, invoicing, and following up on payments are effective.
Regularly track and monitor the property's debtors.
Accounts Payable: Maintain the hotel's purchasing system, reconcile creditor statements, and address supplier inquiries.
Safeguard the hotel's assets, with a particular focus on maintaining strong internal control systems.
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
Assist the finance team with month-end procedures.
Handle confidential financial information professionally.
Sales Administration
Respond to meeting and event enquiries via phone and email.
Prepare proposals, contracts and function sheets.
Coordinate bookings for conferences, corporate meetings, private dining and events.
Liaise with hotel departments to ensure smooth event delivery.
Update booking systems and maintain accurate records.
Conduct follow-up calls and assist with sales activity.
Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests.
Support the Meetings & Events Sales Manager with administration and reporting.
What You'll Need
We are looking for an ambitious, confident and professional individual with strong communication, organisational and analytical skills.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality, food & beverage environment or within the retail sector.
Previous administration experience essential.
Hospitality or hotel experience advantageous.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Experience using hotel PMS or events systems beneficial.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
