Automated Line Maintenance Specialist
This is a key maintenance role that involves the identification, diagnosis and resolution of faults on an automated line and ancillary services. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical systems and a strong understanding of automation.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and must be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the factory.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
* Fault Finding and Resolution: Identify, diagnose and resolve faults on an automated line and ancillary services.
* Equipment Monitoring: Closely monitor the operating performance of all processing and packaging equipment.
* Corrective Action: Intervene when a fault is detected or as soon as any deterioration in performance occurs, and effect corrective action based on your best judgment.
* Issue Recording and Investigation: Record and investigate issues, carry out root cause analysis, communicate to the maintenance and production teams.
* Maintenance Documentation: Ensure that PMs are carried out and documented, and that all documentation is accurate, up to date and readily available.
* New Equipment Support: Support the installation and commissioning of all new equipment.
* Quality Standards: Maintain standards in any areas in which you are working, and comply with the requirements of the quality management system including the production facility and the maintenance workshop.
This role also requires the following skills and qualifications:
* Previous Experience: Previous experience in FMCG / Food manufacturing would be an advantage.
* Strong Mechanical or Electrical Background: Strong mechanical or electrical background with 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment post apprenticeship.
* Planned Preventative Maintenance: Experience with planned preventative maintenance.
* Fault Finding and Problem Solving: Experienced in fault finding and problem solving.
* Trades/Diploma Qualifications: Trades/Diploma qualifications.
* Teamwork and Initiative: Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
This role involves rotating shift work, 8am-4pm or 4pm-12am, 5 days over 7 depending on line availability.
