Job Description:
The successful candidate will oversee and review the development, testing, and installation of electrical distribution and control systems within a highly automated, high-volume, 24/7 validated production environment.
* Lead project teams to provide technical support and make informed decisions on electrical and control system hardware and architecture selection within a multi-functional, multidiscipline team environment.
* Advise in fault-finding of complex automation equipment and control systems as needed.
* Develop comprehensive documentation to meet Medical Device standards.
* Inspect new and existing vendor electrical equipment for compliance with company requirements.
* Perform electrical commissioning assessments and sign-off new or modified installations.
* Manage the introduction of new site electrical requirements documents for vendors and internal procedures and checks.
* Update site electrical standards to reflect current international standards and new types of equipment.
* Monitor and continually improve the site electrical power-up plan, addressing associated queries.
* Maintain electrical drawing software, network licensing systems, and repository.
Qualifications:
A minimum Level 8 degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of current Irish and international electrical standards, directives, and best practices.
* Design and commission LV Distribution and MCC systems.
* Design and commission 24V Controls and Automation systems.
* Proficiency in drawing packages, e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN Vault.
* Cable design/sizing experience, including manual calculations and Amtech.
* Experience with fully automated machinery.
