Title : Insurance Product Manager Location : Dublin / Kilkenny (hybrid) Vhi Insurance DAC have a full-time permanent role for the position of Product Manager based in either Dublin or Kilkenny on a hybrid basis. This role will hold end-to-end accountability for the strategic direction, delivery, and performance of complex, high-impact products across the organisation. Operating at an enterprise level, this role is responsible for translating business strategy into commercially viable, customer-centric product outcomes that drive measurable value across Health Insurance. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and customer pain points, using research and customer insights to shape the product vision and roadmap. This individual will provide product leadership across the full lifecycle from discovery and strategic design through delivery, adoption, and continuous optimisation shaping the product vision, owning the roadmap, and ensuring alignment to organisational priorities, customer needs, and regulatory considerations. The role sits at the intersection of product strategy, business transformation, and change leadership, requiring strong judgement, influence, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly complex, multi-stakeholder environment. What will you do: Collaborate with stakeholder to ensure a shared understanding of the product roadmap, product alignment and identification of cross-delivery dependencies Lead Product Teams directing research, collecting insights/validating hypothesis, utilising customer data and insights to inform the product strategy, roadmap and planning, ensure that the product is continually improved, meeting customer requirements and solving business problems Lead business design activities, including problem definition, options analysis, solution shaping, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards, ensuring coherence across programmes. Drive business readiness and adoption, building comprehensive readiness plans covering processes, people, systems, data migration, training, engagement, and operational transition into BAU. Champion customer and colleague experience improvements, ensuring all solutions are insight-led, solve real business problems, and support continuous delivery and iterative enhancement. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring tight alignment between Product, Group Technology, Programme Delivery, Operations, Commercial, and key impact areas, managing dependencies across portfolios. Define and manage change communications and stakeholder engagement, ensuring clarity of vision, decision-making transparency, and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. Evaluate emerging technologies, vendors, and solutions to inform future-state design and drive innovation in customer journeys, operational models, and digital capabilities Provide senior-level product leadership within Agile environments, utilising Feature Driven Development and decomposing complex initiatives into deliverable, value-focused components What you will need to be successful Education & Experience Third level qualification in a relevant business discipline 7-10 years' experience in product management, business change, business architecture, or transformation roles, ideally within financial services or health insurance. Certified Scrum Product Owner / Agile qualifications desirable. Lean, Six Sigma, or Change Practitioner certification. Experience shaping and governing large-scale transformation programmes. Skills & Abilities Demonstrated senior leadership capability across product management, change management, and business architecture. Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance long-term vision against near-term delivery. Advanced analytical and conceptual thinking; able to navigate ambiguity and shape actionable solutions. Exceptional communication, storytelling, and influencing skills across executive and operational audiences. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and build relationships across IT, business units, and external partners. Proven track record of owning and delivering large-scale, multi-system, multi-stakeholder initiatives with material business impact Strong balance of strategic design capability and hands-on delivery leadership Demonstrated alignment to the Vhi values.
