Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Seafreight Operator will provide a professional and efficient sea freight operations service to both internal and external customers.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcessing shipment bookings for Forwarding operationsMonitoring shipments from point of customer booking to arrival at final destination and customer paymentProviding a high level of customer service to both internal and external customersLiaising with local and international vendors and agents to ensure that the best rates and services are securedLiaising with transport vendors regarding collections or deliveriesProcessing sales and purchases invoices and dealing with any queries relating to customer/creditor invoicesDealing with rate requests and issuing quotationsCustoms Clearance awareness – SAD's, requirements, EtcDevelopment of sea freight servicesAdditional DutiesAssisting with holiday cover within the operations officeProviding administration support to other freight departments when requiredOccasional Customer visitsProjectsCarry out any additional duties which may be assigned from time to timeJob Types: Full-time, PermanentWork Location: In person
