Labourer (Construction) –

The Role – Labourer (Construction)
As a Labourer, you and a Team Leader will work as a team of 2 primarily at home-owner's properties around the Republic of Ireland from a base in County Roscommon.
You'll undertake site works, as well as building, remediation, reinstatement and OFTEC works under the direction of the Team Leader, receiving training on the job (and opportunities to expand your skill set) where required.
In addition, your duties will include:
· Assisting with spill response, hand-digging excavation works to help contamination removal
· Driving machinery and using power tools to carry out intrusive construction work
· Keeping the site tidy, clean and safe, identifying potential hazards and working in a controlled manner around the site
· Supporting the maintenance and servicing of equipment, reporting faults when identified
· Assisting with taking photographs of completed works where required
The Package
· Permanent contract, working 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday on site plus potential for overtime
· Salary in the region of €27,000 to €32,000, level dependent on experience plus overtime paid at an enhanced rate where applicable
· 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service to a maximum of 25 days plus bank holidays

Our Requirements - Labourer (Construction)
· Experience gained in a construction site environment, with appreciation for health and safety
· A full EU driving licence
· Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to undertake a variety of physically demanding tasks and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
· A positive attitude, with a motivated approach and able to use own initiative
· Able to provide a basic Irish Garda Clearance check if successful and have the right to work in the ROI
· Be willing to work away if necessary whilst on a job with overnight allowances and reasonable expenses covered
Although not essential, the ability to operate plant and machinery equipment would be advantageous, as would experience gained with remediation works.
