Purpose
Own and elevate Munster Bovine's analytics, from raw data to decision, by building a governed, high-trust Power BI estate and the data models behind it.
This role solves hard business problems (margin, financial accuracy, scheduling, governance) with precision, speed, and repeatability.
Core Responsibilities
Using an array of data mining techniques to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns
Clean, collate, analyse, and interpret data from various sources to support business development.
Organising and transforming information into comprehensible structures
Using data to predict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole
Performing statistical analysis of data
Using tools (Strong focus on Power BI required) and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs
Preparing reports and presenting these to management and the wider team
Identifying and recommending new ways to enhance the business by spotting trends and changing / streamlining business processes
Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data
Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
Own Power BI end-to-end: data ingestion, modeling (star schema), DAX measures, visuals, RLS, incremental refresh, performance tuning.
Data engineering lite: design resilient pipelines from NetSuite exports, SFTP files or APIs, Google BigQuery, SharePoint/OneDrive, and HubSpot into modeled layers.
Financial integrity: reconcile variance bridges; maintain audit trails for ISO*****.
Governance: version control, data dictionary, QA checks, refresh monitoring, access reviews.
Product management: run an Asana backlog, triage requests, prioritize by impact, communicate release notes.
Train power-users; create "how-to" pages; raise data literacy across teams.
Required skills & experience (must-have)
·Degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Maths or Computer Science or equivalent
Power BI expert: DAX (advanced), Power Query/M, model optimization (composite models, aggregations), RLS, Incremental Refresh.
SQL proficiency (T-SQL or ANSI) for shaping/validating large datasets (millions of rows, intra-daily refresh).
Excel master: pivots, Power Query, array functions; comfortable reconciling complex datasets.
Data modeling: dimensional/star schema, conformed dimensions, semantic layer design.
Quality obsession: reconciliation habits, unit tests on measures, row/total cross-checks, refresh reliability.
Version control & DevOps mindset: Git repo, branching, PR reviews, release notes.
Business fluency: understands margin math, rev/COGS flows, discounting, scheduling concepts.
Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills; experience of presenting to internal and external stakeholders

Nice-to-have
NetSuite reporting/exports; Tactical Cloud export plugin; familiarity with ACS processes.
Google BigQuery experience; basic Python (pandas) / R, for audits/CSV hygiene.
Security & compliance: comfort operating under ISO***** (access reviews, documentation).
This position will require the candidate to have an onsite presence at our offices in Ballyvorisheen, Mallow.

Cork.
There will be the opportunity for Hybrid working, 2 days from home and 3 onsite, following the candidate completing their probationary period for the role.
