About the Role
Our client, a reputable building services contractor known for delivering high-quality, people-focused engineering solutions, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a commercial development in Cavan.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, values building strong relationships, and takes pride in delivering safe, compliant, and community-focused projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Coordination
Oversee Mechanical & Electrical building services (HVAC, plumbing, controls, electrical distribution, etc.).
Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with specifications and building regulations.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and local authorities.
Attend and lead coordination and progress meetings.
Programme, Cost & Procurement
Develop and track project schedules, labour allocations, and material procurement plans.
Manage budgets, monitor project costs, and identify potential risks or overruns early.
Coordinate procurement of subcontractors and materials to ensure timely delivery.
Lead and support site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
Foster a positive site culture focused on collaboration, safety, and quality.
Provide clear direction, problem-solving, and daily planning guidance.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate project documentation, QA records, and site reports.
Oversee commissioning activities, snag resolution, and final project handover.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management and client teams.
What We’re Looking For
Degree or qualification in Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, or Construction Management.
5+ years’ Project Management experience within M&E, building services, or general contracting.
Experience delivering commercial, educational, healthcare, or community-focused projects.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams, schedules, and stakeholders.
A proactive, solutions-driven approach with strong attention to detail.
