Our Salthill location is seeking a reliable and hardworking Seasonal Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen team during a busy period.
Role Overview The Kitchen Porter will play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, supporting chefs with basic tasks, and ensuring the overall efficiency of back-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment and manual methods.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation where required.
Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling systems are followed.
Support stock deliveries by unloading, organising, and storing items safely.
Adhere to health safety and HACCP guidelines at all times.
Carry out deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled.
Work efficiently under pressure during peak service times.
Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen porter or similar role is an advantage but not essential.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday periods as required.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Must Speak English Hours Benefits Part-time hours; shift patterns may include weekends and evenings.
