We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic researcher to join our interdisciplinary Living Coasts project as a Post-Doctoral Researcher.
The goal of the project is to promote urban coastlines as more-than-human places, fostering ecological awareness and engagement surrounding ongoing and future multispecies relations at the coasts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct qualitative research on coastal and environmental monitoring through community-engaged fieldwork.
* Work with principal investigators at University College Cork and engage with national and international external stakeholder organizations.
* Manage projects, coordinate workshops, and track social action research initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in biodiversity monitoring, preferably in coastal environments.
* Qualitative fieldwork expertise, including skills in data collection and analysis.
* Ability to track and evaluate community engagement efforts.
Additional experience in creativity-based methods, such as collaborative speculation, is also valued in this role. This could involve using speculative design techniques to explore potential futures for urban coastlines.
