Occupational Therapy Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Specialist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapy Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering family-centred occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children and adolescents, both individually and in groups.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments of individuals' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to identify areas for improvement.
* Develop and implement personalized occupational therapy plans to enhance individuals' ability to perform daily activities and maintain independence.
* Provide onsite supervision to junior therapists and remote support to colleagues as needed.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and achieve shared goals.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation using digital systems and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
* Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and service development initiatives to promote professional growth and best practices.
* Support parent and teacher training sessions and contribute to continuing professional development (CPD) activities to enhance expertise and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
* Ensure therapy spaces and equipment are maintained to a high standard to create a safe and supportive environment for clients.
* Assist with promotional and media activities related to service enhancement to raise awareness about the importance of occupational therapy and the services we offer.
