Known for our craft cocktails (the only pub in West Cork to offer them) The Algiers serves a wholesome, globally inspired menu, featuring fresh West Cork produce with influences from Mexico, California, and Asia. House favourites include Tacos, burgers, and signature craft cocktails. With rich North African textures, ambient lighting, and subtle nods to Baltimore's pirate past, The Algiers has become a go-to destination for food, craft cocktails, and warm hospitality.
The Role
· Lead and inspire our bar team to deliver exceptional service.
· Create and serve a wide range of beverages, from craft cocktails to our curated wine list to local craft beers.
· Oversee bar operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Contribute to a positive and energetic work environment.
About You
· Minimum 3 years' bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume or gastropub setting.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Excellent knowledge of spirits, wines, craft beers, and cocktail preparation.
· Passion for delivering unparalleled hospitality.
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
· Mixology skills are an advantage.
