Clinical Nurse Specialist
Job Description:
* Role & Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate aspects of the haemodialysis service.
* Oversee monthly bloods, analysis, and prescriptions related to anaemia and renal mineral bone disease.
* Conduct transplant work-up and follow-up.
* Administer and monitor the Hepatitis B vaccination programme.
* Compile and report monthly and annual audit data for the AIS.
* Plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs through audits.
* Engage in nurse prescribing under a Collaborative Practice Agreement.
* Work autonomously, managing a designated patient workload.
Clinical Focus:
* Ensure high standards of patient care using evidence-based practices.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for haemodialysis patients.
* Provide specialist advice and educational materials to patients.
* Promote infection control and health awareness.
* Manage defined care areas in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
* Initiate transplant evaluations and liaise with the medical team.
* Maintain clinical and practical skills in haemodialysis.
